How to Stop Hackers From Getting Into Facebook Accounts

If you suspect that your Facebook account has been compromised, it is recommended to change your app ink net password immediately. Then, if you are using Facebook for logging into apps like Spotify or Instagram make sure you change the logins too. This will stop the hacker from accessing these services through your compromised Facebook profile.

Hackers can find many personal details in hacked Facebook accounts. Hackers can make use of this information to carry out malicious reasons, like getting credit card numbers, and bombarding people with fake credit card offers or phishing scams. Hackers can also use hacked accounts to send spammy messages or even post on your timeline (as if it was you who committed the crime).

One of the most common ways hackers can gain access to an account is when they exploit an error in Facebook’s application code. For instance, a vulnerability in iOS’s Facebook app allowed hackers to steal cookies and access the iPhone user’s so-called “access token.” These tokens are digital keys that grant the user complete control over the user’s Facebook account and thanks to Single Sign-On, other websites that the user is logged into using their Facebook credentials.

Hackers may also gain access to accounts through brute-force attacks. This technique involves guessing passwords, usually the most common ones like 1234567890 or 123456789. Hackers also gain access to accounts through scanning compromised credentials. There are numerous free tools available to scan for stolen data, including the popular website HaveIBeenPwned.
